I am a member of the Probability and Mathematical Statistics group in the Mathematics Department of Pavia University.
My research activity mainly concerns the study of quantum Markov semigroups (QMSs), usually defined as semigroups of superoperators acting on a von Neumann algebra with appropriate properties. In discrete time, these superoperators are the quantum analogue of the transition kernel of a classical Markov process and are usually called quantum channels. See the Research section for more details about my research interests.
